Kickers - General Information

BSA Kicker's Program Information

This program is designed for our youngest players!


Kicker’s programs are a recreational division run through Brunswick travel.  Unlike traditional rec programs with parent-only coaches, often with no soccer experience, Kickers players have the opportunity to learn from experienced coaches to maximize their development AND maximize their fun!

 

Due to the new guidelines set by US Soccer, all of our programs are based on the child’s birth year.

 

Mini Kickers- This program is held in the summer months for our youngest soccer players.  Summer 2020, 6-week outdoor session will take place Saturday mornings.   This session will be open to boys and girls born in 2015, 2016, and is for those born in 2017 who turn 3 before June 1st. All parents will be notified of time their child is playing the week before. 

Summer 2020 season will take place Saturday mornings from June 13-July 25th (NO SOCCER JULY 4th)

All of our Mini Kicker’s sessions are 1 hour in length with the first 45 minutes a skill-based training to develop basic skills and improve coordination. The session ends with a 15 minute, 4 v 4 game, to show off what they have learned.  Our session times are 9:00, 10:00, and 11:00 am.  

Cost is $60/season plus a one-time $5 fee for a t-shirt.

All of our Mini Kickers players can also take part in our winter indoor league.  


 


Junior Kickers- This 8-week program is held in the fall and spring season to boys and girls.


Fall 2020 season will take place Saturday mornings from August 15th-October 10th (no Soccer Labor Day Weekend) . This session will be open to boys and girls born in 2014 and 2015.

 

We are merging the two programs Junior Kickers and the Rec Program for this age group.  

We will now have 1 hour practices during the week, picked by the coaches. We will also have our 4v4 games on Saturday mornings at Hopkins Park. The games will be one of two time slots 9-10 and 10-11am. Each week may be a different time, so players can play different teams. 

This program is focused on having the players get as many touches on the ball as possible. We also build their confidence by having no goalies. The players will score more, which will make them more confident and have more fun. 
 

 

Cost is $60/season plus a one-time $10 fee for 2 jerseys, which can be reused in subsequent seasons.

Spring 2020 season will take place in the morning from April 10th- June 5th  (No Soccer Labor Day Weekend)

Kickers Academy-
Our Academy program is designed as a pre-travel program.  This 2020 fall program is open to boys and girls born in 2012 and 2013

Academy players will have a 60-minute training session during the week.  Saturday mornings they will play 4 v 4 games to show off what they have learned.  Boys and girls will play at Hopkins Park on Saturday morning during the times of 11:30am-1:30pm.  Training will begin mid August. 

The emphasis is not on winning and losing at this age instead the focus is on getting lots of touches on the ball and learning from experienced coaches.  

 

The cost for the 2020 Fall Academy Program is $75.   An additional $10 is charged for those who need the white and blue jerseys used for Saturday games.  (These are the same jerseys used in our Junior Kickers program)

Indoor Kickers-   
Our 2021 Indoor Kicker’s session takes will start January 9th, 2020 on Saturday mornings. We will have 2, 6-week sessions that will take place at the Hoop Guru off W130th in Hinckley.  This will be open to boys and girls born in the years 2014-2018.   

All of our Winter Indoor Kicker’s sessions are 1 hour in length with the first 45 minutes a skill-based training to develop basic skills and improve coordination. The session ends with a 15 minute, 4 v 4 game to show off what they have learned.  Our session times are 9:00, 10:00, and 11:00 am.All parents will be notified the week before with the time their child is playing. 

Session 1 will run from January 9th- February 13th
Session 2 will run from February 20th- March 27th

Cost is $50/session plus a one-time $5 fee for a t-shirt.
